2002 – BRASILNOAR FESTIVAL – 2º BRAZILIAN NEW ART INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
The 2nd edition was held on 02 October 2002, for the first time in the centenary club La Paloma, an emblematic concert hall from the old part of Barcelona, and was attended by over 40 artists with an audience exceeding 1.500 people.

MUSIC
–Wagner Pa (Myspace) – a mixture of Bossa Nova with current MPB (Música Popular Brasileira – Popular Brazilian Music).
In voice and guitar, the leader of Brazuca Matraca presented an intimate show.
–Euclydes Mattos (Web) – respected in Brazil and Europe presented its work of Samba-Jazz.
Tempo – Euclydes Matos (Video clip)
–Avenida Brasil (Myspace) – regional Brazilian rhythms merged with Funk and Pop.
Music group composed by Edir Chumbinho among others.
–Nego Kbça – Forró, Samba-Rock and Manguebeat (or Manguebit), making Brazilian contemporary music.
It is considered the 1st group of Barcelona composed 100% by Brazilian musicians. It was the 1st group of Forró (after Roberio Pitanga (Dj Afronome) introduced this genre in Barcelona at the parties “Sonidos do Brasil”) in the Catalonian capital.
It was composed by Andre Salmerón (bass), Roberio Pitanga (triangle, tambourine and acocó), Rafa Teixeira (Zabumba and tambourine) and Daniel Arruda (voice and guitar) in their 1st formation, later with Emiliano de Castro (guitar) and Paulinho Batera (drums).
–Chicas do Brasil – collective of femenine DJ’s, that show us the sensitivity with the power of the groove. Presented by Djiva and Dj Luanda.

PLASTIC ART
–Tatiana Sulzbacher – joined technical designs on newspapers.
Interesting project carried out on newspapers, modifying the original image, with colors and naives lines.
–Cid Maia – folk paintings with oil and geometric shapes.
He made an exhibition of pictures with characters from popular Brazilian folklore with images of Capoeira, Forró…
